Our Speaker at the Frankfurt Book Fair
Our speaker Denis Scheck for example will present his freshly printed book "Schecks Kanon. The 100 Most Important Works of World Literature". In his selection of the 100 most important books, Denis Scheck doesn't care about genre or language boundaries and explains in his usual charming and eloquent way what the must-reads are.
Sascha Lobo will read from his current book "Reality Shock" at the Book Fair. He explains why the world seems to have suddenly gone off the rails and examines where the drastic changes of recent years come from and what we can learn from them. The blogger and journalist Sascha Lobo shows that the events of the past years have led to a reality shock for many people, because who would have expected Trump to win the election or the British to vote for Brexit?
Joachim Gauck will read excerpts from his current book "Tolerance: simply difficult". He poses the question where the limits of tolerance lie. Hans-Werner Sinn says about the book of the former Federal President "A wonderful and very well researched book". And so we are looking forward to Joachim Gauck's visit to the Frankfurt Book Fair.
And in an interview at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Ulrich Wickert presents his latest book "Identify yourselves: Why we need a new sense of home" and Reinhold Messner is expected at the Book Fair for a book signing of his new book "Der Eispapst. Die Akte Welzenbach”.
