Sven H. Korndörffer's career
Sven H. Korndörffer has spent almost three decades in the banking industry, most recently as Divisional Board Member for Group Communications at Commerzbank. Appreciative cooperation has been particularly important to him since the beginning of his professional life, which is why he co-founded the Wertekommission 19 years ago and, as its Chairman, has made it his mission to show how essential appreciation is for leadership culture and for our everyday lives.

Now he has written a book on his core topic: " Die Wertschätzungskette: Warum wir uns Chefs ohne Empathie nicht leisten können". In his book, he uses numerous examples to show the sometimes expensive consequences that poor corporate culture can have and what it does to employees. He argues that managers must be human beings first and managers second. "The emotional part of leadership is immeasurable," Korndörffer never tires of emphasising.

The ten chapters of the book are titled with characteristics that are absolutely essential for appreciative leadership, such as transparency and competence as well as commitment and reflection.
