Many of our speakers are listed in this year's economists' ranking of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
For the third time in a row, our speaker Ernst Fehr is ranked first among the most influential economists. The F.A.Z. writes about the Professor of Microeconomics and Experimental Economic Research at the University of Zurich: "With his research on the economic behaviour of people, he has advanced behavioural economics in the German-speaking world to such an extent that its findings repeatedly lead to practical politics". Ernst Fehr is one of the most frequently quoted German-speaking economists and a much sought-after speaker and consultant to companies. Journalists and politicians are also inspired by him, and he is repeatedly considered a candidate for the Nobel Prize. According to the F.A.Z., Ernst Fehr was one of the driving forces that made behavioural economics mainstream. In the meantime, also companies are taking advantage of his findings.
Clemens Fuest follows Ernst Fehr in second place. The president of the ifo Institute for Economic Research is one of Germany's most distinguished finance scientists and is widely heard in politics and the public. Clemens Fuest is a much sought-after speaker who knows how to present his positions clearly - even if they are not always comfortable. Hans-Werner Sinn, whose successor he is as the head of the ifo Institute, is ranked third in the F.A.Z. economists' ranking, followed by our speaker Marcel Fratzscher in fourth place.
Marcel Fratzscher is President of the German Institute for Economic Research, Professor of Macroeconomics and Finance at Humboldt University in Berlin and a member of the Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy. As a much sought-after speaker, Marcel Fratzscher impresses with his sound knowledge.
