Samuel Koch has become a successful and much sought after actor in recent years. He had sadly become famous due to a severe accident during the TV show "Wetten, dass..." in 2010 which left him paralyzed. But this has not kept him from consistently realising his dream of becoming an actor. Samuel studied acting and graduated from the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover in 2014. He worked as an assistant director for well-known film and television production companies in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. During his studies he also worked as a freelance acrobat. His enthusiasm for sport began at an early age and he started artistic as a child. From 2014 to 2018 he was an ensemble member at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. There he played leading roles in "Faust" and "Prinz von Homburg", among others. He has guest roles in numerous TV series and films and has been a permanent ensemble member at the Nationaltheater Mannheim since the 2018/19 season. Samuel Koch is also a successful author. As part of his diverse social commitment, Samuel Koch supports the German Foundation for Paraplegia (DSQ) as well as the international spinal cord research "wings for life", and the work of the ELFMETER Foundation.
