Frank Rieger is hacker, author, internet activist and he is known for being a critical companion of digitisation. He is one of the spokespersons of Chaos Computer Club - Europe’s largest association of hackers. For more than 30 years CCC is providing information about technical and societal issues, such as surveillance, privacy, freedom of information hacktivism and data security. Frank has founded numerous start-ups dealing with data security, navigation services and e-reading. He is the CTO of a communication security company and since 1990 he is one of the honorary spokespersons of Chaos Computer Club, the most influential hacker collective in Europe. Frank is one of the initiators of the Charter of Digital Fundamental Rights of the European Union. He regularly writes for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and is one of the founders of the award-winning podcast “Alternativlos”. Together with Constanze Kurz, who also is spokesperson of Chaos Computer Club, he has written three books about the future of work in times of digitisation and robotics, about information security and gaining back control of our personal data in the internet and about cyberwar. Frank is a sought-after speaker and a popular interview partner on topics like data security and misuse of data.
