Bertrand Piccard is an internationally renowned adventurer and aviation pioneer. He is the initiator and founder of the Solar Impulse project, as part of which he flew non-stop around the world in a solar aeroplane. Piccard comes from a dynasty of researchers and scientists. In 2016, Bertrand Piccard founded the World Alliance for Clean Technologies with the aim of supporting start-ups and established companies in the development of solutions that both protect the environment and are economical. He is already working on his third world record adventure: he wants to be the first person to fly around the world in a hydrogen aeroplane.
