Jens Korte

Wall Street Correspondent

Jens Korte is "Mr. Wall Street". In his relaxed, unmistakable manner, he reports daily from Wall Street - not only for TV, but also for radio and as a columnist for nzz am Sonntag and the Börsenkurier. Born in Frankfurt, he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and then studied economics and cultural management at the Free University of Berlin. He gained experience as a local journalist at the Berliner Morgenpost before moving to New York. There he first worked for the publishing house Gruner & Jahr before moving to Wall Street Correspondents at the New York Stock Exchange. In 1999, he was one of the first foreign reporters on Wall Street. As an observer, he experienced decisive years on the stock exchange: the Internet boom, the bursting of the technology bubble, the resulting recession and the economic effects of the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001. As a Wall Street correspondent, he also experienced the financial crisis of 2008 and the Corona pandemic at first hand. In 2003, Jens Korte founded New York German Press NYGP, providing stock market correspondence services for German-language media. In his lectures, Jens Korte paints the "big picture" - entertainingly, enriched with anecdotes and observations from his life in the USA. Institutional clients in Europe appreciate his knowledge and trust Jens' assessment.
