Ursula Heller is one of the most charming and taking presenters in German TV and a veteran radio woman. Born in Bergisch Gladbach in 1961, she studied German, history and philosophy at the universities of Freiburg, Cambridge and Munich. While still a student in Munich, she began her broadcasting career in the editorial department of the B3 radio show with radio heroes Thomas Gottschalk and Günther Jauch. A time during which she says she learned "an incredible amount" from her colleagues. Shortly afterwards, she became moderator of various BR radio programmes, including the "B3-Morgentelegramm". In 1990 Ursula Heller's television career began with the presentation of the daily Rundschau Magazin, which she presented until 2007. From 2003 to 2005 she was also presenter of the ARD science magazine "W wie Wissen". Since 2007, she has been seen as the presenter of the weekly BR political magazine "Kontrovers" and the "Münchner Runde" as well as the presenter of ARD special programmes.
