Andreas G. Scholz is one of the best-known financial and economic journalists on German television. For more than ten years, Scholz was the face of German-language BloombergTV. He was one of the US news agency's top reporters worldwide and reported from all major conferences and events. Already during his studies in business administration and journalism at the FU Berlin , the trained banker (*1969) started his career in the media in radio broadcasting at ARD. As an editor and presenter, he reported directly from the Berlin stock exchange. In 1998, Scholz set up the finance and stock exchange editorial department at the newly launched Inforadio Berlin-Brandenburg. In 1999 Andreas Scholz moved to the US news agency Bloomberg, where he reported from the stock exchanges in Frankfurt and New York and, together with his team, expanded the German-language TV channel of Bloomberg News. Under his leadership, the editorial team of BloombergTV was awarded Business Editorial of the Year in the television category in 2007 and 2008. His talk show Seitenweise Wirtschaft was awarded the Special Media Prize of the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2008. His talk shows Börsengeflüster and Chefsache are legendary. In 2010, Scholz became a member of the board and chief reporter of DAF Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen AG. In the following years, Scholz published two books on the euro crisis and published his unusually frank interviews with Prof. Dr. Otmar Issing and Jean-Claude Trichet. As the face of the stock exchange in Stuttgart, Scholz can be seen regularly on TV. Scholz has worked for dfv Euro Finance Group GmbH since 2014 and has been its managing director since 2015. Since 1 September 2017, he has been Chairman of the Management Board and thus responsible for all conference formats of the dfv subsidiary specialising in financial market communication. Scholz is also the publisher of the EURO FINANCE magazine, which appears three times a year. He is a Young Leader alumnus of Atlantik-Brücke e. V. and until 2017 was a member of "The Group of 20+1", a community of 20 European business journalists in the financial centre of Frankfurt, which has been awarding the "European Banker of the Year" once a year since 1994.
