Ruud Veltenaar inspires transformation by conducting almost 250 inspirements every year for business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals world wide. Ruud Veltenaar studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and at Columbia University New York. He also obtained his MBA at Harvard Business School. Once back in the Netherlands, Ruud was on the executive board of the Volmac Software Group and was chief executive officer at RAET. As a successful serial entrepreneur, Ruud has made a name for himself as founder and CEO of Silvac, Planet Internet and Park-line and Parkmobile. From 1999 to 2016, Ruud was chairman of Net Ventures and Merestes Capital, two international investment funds for high-tech companies. In collaboration with his team, he invested over two billion euro in technology companies worldwide. Together with Elon Musk, Ruud is still involved as an investor in two companies in Israel and Silicon Valley in the renewable energy sector. As affiliate professor, (visiting lecturer and guest speaker, Ruud gives talks and lectures on a regular basis at various universities. Among these are the institute International Schools for Business Management (London), INSEAD, IMD, MIT, Nyenrode and IBO Business School. In addition, Ruud is a columnist for the Dutch financial newspaper “Het Financiele Dagblad” and can be heard regularly at the NPO on Radio 1. Ruud also wrote the book “Business for Good” together with Guido von de Wiel about inspiring leadership and innovative entrepreneurship for the emerging future.
