Jesper Brodin is one of the most influential business leaders in the global retail industry. He served as President and CEO of Ingka Group | IKEA and today is Senior Advisor to the IKEA Foundation. He led the company through a period of profound transformation, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and people-centered leadership. Brodin has become a widely respected voice on responsible business and sustainable development. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Jesper Brodin holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. Brodin joined IKEA in 1995 as Purchasing Manager in Pakistan before becoming Regional Purchasing Manager for Southeast Asia. Over the following three decades, he held a wide range of leadership positions across the organization. He served as assistant to Ingvar Kamprad and Anders Dahlvig, later becoming Business Area Manager for Kitchen & Dining and subsequently Managing Director of IKEA Range & Supply, where he was responsible for product development and the global supply chain. In 2017, he was appointed President and CEO of Ingka Group, leading the company for eight years until stepping down in 2025. Throughout his career, Jesper Brodin has championed a leadership philosophy built on values, trust and collaboration.
