Knut Bergmann (*1972) studied political science, psychology and public law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn, where he received his doctorate in 2002. He then worked as a personal assistant for Sabine Christiansen and as a research assistant at her television production company TV21 GmbH. In 2004, he became managing director of the Liberales Netzwerk Foundation and from 2005 to 2009 he worked in the policy department of the Office of the Federal President, focusing on civil society and social policy, and as speechwriter for Norbert Lammert, President of the German Bundestag. Since 2012 he has been head of the Berlin office of the German Economic Institute and since 2013 also of its communications department. Dr. Knut Bergman teaches in the Master's program in Public History at Freie Universität Berlin. He has published articles in various print publications and is a sought-after interview partner in the media.
