Diana Kinnert is an expert on the future of society. She advises research institutes, think tanks and international governments and takes a critical look at socially relevant topics. Since 2018, her political work has focused in particular on the topics of technology, demography, loneliness in society, the world of work and the digital world, as well as urbanisation and participation. Diana Kinnert (*1991) studied political science, philosophy and social sciences at the universities of Göttingen, Amsterdam, Cologne and Berlin. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013. She has been a member of the CDU since 2009. Between 2015 and 2016, she was office manager to Peter Hintze, then Vice President of the Bundestag, and later became a member of the party's reform commission under CDU Secretary General Peter Tauber. From 2013 to 2015, she was a member of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Youth Advisory Council and an ambassador for the Foundation for the Rights of Future Generations. In 2019, she became a member of the Federal Committee for Social Cohesion. There, Kinnert deals with social milieus in the urban population, the social isolation of senior generations and modern concepts of bonding. Since 2016, Kinnert has been advising various protagonists in the political process, including government agencies and foundations from abroad, such as the world's first ministry against loneliness in the UK. She supported the former Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr Gerd Müller MdB in his sustainability offensive for the African continent and is involved as an advisor for the Global Perspective Initiative for International Understanding and Global Development. In March 2022, she became a member of the expert commission ‘Values and Foundations of the CDU’ headed by historian Prof Dr Andreas Rödder. Diana Kinnert works on projects at the interface of healthcare and digitalisation, remunicipalisation and agile infrastructures. She is a member of the ‘Democracy and Education’ expert commission of the Hertie Foundation, works on the future of school education and is a member of the Council for Digital Ecology, where she addresses the socio-cultural dimension of the digital transformation. Diana Kinnert is recognised as a ‘Leader of Tomorrow’ with reference to the St. Gallen Symposium. She regularly publishes political commentaries and columns in mainly German daily and weekly newspapers. Since October 2020, she has maintained a regular discussion format with the sociologist and social psychologist Harald Welzer entitled ‘Thinking with Kinnert and Welzer’ on the television channel phoenix. From November 2020 to June 2022, she curated the future podcast ‘Der 8. Tag’ by Gabor Steingart, which is published by Media Pioneer. Since 2023, she has been a columnist for mobility at Robb Report Germany.
