Per Ledermann is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of the edding Group. He embodies values-based leadership, transformation and responsible business practices in family enterprises like no other. Under his leadership, the edding Group has evolved into a 'profit-for' company, a company that views economic success as the foundation for ecological and social engagement. Born in 1975, Per Ledermann studied law in Hamburg and subsequently earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a Master's degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School at Arizona State University. After holding positions at international strategy consultancies in Europe and the Middle East, he joined the edding Group in 2005 as CFO. Since 2008, he has led the family business into its second generation. At the edding Group, he is responsible for Group Strategy, the central sales and marketing organisation for edding, Legamaster, and PLAYROOM; Corporate Sustainability Management; Brands & Communication; and Change Management and Sourcing. For him sustainability is a strategic foundation of the company, not a marketing tool. Today, edding is the market leader in Germany, with an 80 percent market share, producing around 60 million pens and products annually and operating in over 100 countries worldwide.
