Ziad Ahmed

Founder & CEO of JUV, YOUTHTOPIA Circle of Youth

Ziad Ahmed first gained attention for his passion for social justice and advocacy as a teenager when he applied to Stanford University and wrote the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter 100 times in response to the question, "What matters to you and why?". This unconventional approach not only got him in, but also sparked discussions about activism, youth engagement and the power of social media. At the age of 14, Ziad founded Redefy, a youth-led non-profit organisation dedicated to challenging stereotypes and promoting understanding between diverse communities. Redefy uses digital platforms to amplify marginalised voices and promote empathy. Its founding led to Ziad Ahmed receiving MTV's High School Trailblazer award and being named one of Business Insider's Top 15 Young Prodigies Changing the World. Building on his belief that young people hold the key to long-term positive change, Ziad Ahmed founded JUV consulting in 2019, a purpose-driven Gen Z consultancy that works with clients to help them reach young people. He is the CEO of JUV and has received various awards for his efforts at both companies, including the Princeton Prize in Race Relations and the Presidential Gold Service Award, as well as appearing in Forbes 30 under 30 at the age of 19. Alongside these incredible achievements, he also managed to graduate cum laude from Yale. Ziad Ahmed is passionate about educating and encouraging others to be agents of change as he has been. Ziad is a gifted communicator who has spoken at numerous conferences and events, including TEDx, and has been featured in media outlets such as the BBC, CNN and The New York Times (to name a few). Ziad Ahmed's story serves as an inspiration for youth empowerment, demonstrating the impact one individual can have by harnessing passion, creativity and a commitment to social justice. As he continues to navigate the intersection of problem solving and youth action, Ziad Ahmed remains a compelling force for positive change.
