Founder Token Kitchen, Global Authority on Web3, Blockchain Expert

Shermin Voshmgir is the author of the best selling book “Token Economy“, the founder of Token Kitchen and BlockchainHub Berlin. Her focus is to make technology accessible to a non-tech audience so that all those who use technology can also take part in the decision-making process of the technology they use. In the past she was the director of the Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics which she also co-founded. She was a curator of TheDAO (Decentralized Investment Fund), an advisor to Jolocom (Web3 Identity), Wunder (Tokenized Art) and the Estonian E-residency program. Under her alter ego KAMIKAT.SE she has also created a series of audio visual works in the past. Shermin studied Information Systems Management at the Vienna University of Economics and film-making in Madrid. She is Austrian, with Iranian roots and currently lives in Portugal who works on the intersection of technology, art & social science. She believes that the Web3 and it’s tokenized applications can shift the dynamics of our socio-economic systems, which is why a good understanding of the technology and it’s applications is fundamental to the process of co-creating this new collective infrastructure and its applications. Shermin has a long track record of public speaking about Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, the Web3 and the future of technologies in general – from prestigious community conferences such as TedX, The Next Web or Re:publica, to private events for companies and institutions such as Vodafone, Audi, IMF and the Wordbank. Her biggest strength is to make complex issues easily understandable to a wide audience without losing the depth or scope of the issues she writes or talks about. She has a multidisciplinary perspective of how Web3 will impact different areas of society.
