Shermin Voshmgir is the Author of the Book “Token Economy“ which has become a best seller in the first two weeks of its release. She is the director of the Research Institute for Cryptoconomics at the Vienna University of Economics, and the founder of BlockchainHub Berlin - an international network of autonomous Hubs that promote the idea of blockchain, crypto economics and the decentralized web. She started the [UN]BLOCKED, and initiative around blockchain & sustainability. Her past work experience ranges from internet start-ups, IT consulting & filmmaking. She was advisor of Jolocom, a blockchain based identity protocol. In the past, she was a curator of TheDAO, on the advisory board of the Estonian E-residency, and an advisor to Wunder, a decentralized Art Museum. Shermin did her PhD in IT-Management at the Vienna University of Economics. Furthermore, she studied film and drama in Madrid. Her past work experience ranges from Internet startups, research & art. She is Austrian, with Iranian roots, and lives between Vienna and Berlin. She regularly speaks at conferences especially in the context of tokens, sustainability and social impact of future technologies.
