Democracy in Danger? - An Exclusive Interview with Diana Kinnert

Diana Kinnert is a recognised expert on the future of our society. As an astute critic of socially relevant issues, she is a sought-after source of inspiration in politics, the media and business. In an exclusive interview with the London Speaker Bureau, she shared her concerns about the state of democracy and shed light on the challenges we face.

"I've been worried about democracy for a long time "

Diana Kinnert openly admitted that she has been worried about the state of democracy for a long time. She fears that there will be hardly any coalition possibilities after the upcoming elections because all democratic parties will have to stand together against an anti-democratic party. "This is no longer the kind of democracy we want," she emphasises. We haven't found an effective way of dealing with right-wing populists for decades. The open display of anti-Semitism is just one symptom of this underlying problem.

Various social problems

Kinnert addresses many other problems that threaten democracy. From growing right-wing populism and the debate and strike culture in Germany to insufficient mobility and digital inequality - she poses questions that often remain unanswered and offers new perspectives and solutions.

Increasing digitalisation is a particularly pressing issue. In an ageing society, the question arises as to how we can ensure that everyone has sufficient digital knowledge and is not left behind. It also raises critical questions about the monetisation of our data by companies. "How can we as users defend ourselves against this?" she asks, calling for an urgently needed debate on how our data is handled.

Can democracy still work?

In consideration of these open questions and emerging trends, Diana Kinnert poses the fundamental question: Can democracy in its current form still function at all? Her analyses and critical questions invite us to think intensively about the future of our society and to actively search for solutions.

Overall, Diana Kinnert offers valuable input and new perspectives that are of great importance for politics, the media and business. As a speaker, she is able to convey complex topics in an understandable way and inspire her audience to engage with the pressing issues of our time.
